Meet the Managing Directors of M.A.M Electrical
MATTHEW RUOCCO
Managing Director
I came to Australia looking for a better life, I grew up in a suburb called Essex just outside of London.
My dream was to own my own business, to live and to work in Australia. I’m a very sporty guy, coming from London I’m a massive football fan ( Soccer ) and a massive West Ham United fan.
I love playing football and used to be semi pro in the UK. I’m also into my fishing and snowboarding which I love.
I met Michael when I first came to the Gold Coast and we hit it off straight away as friends. Friendship soon became business partners. I completed my apprenticeship in the UK qualifying in 2009.
I worked for a company carrying out installation work throughout retail stores in London. After gaining some serious experience I decided to move on to bigger and better things where I moved to a company based in North London. I moved into a position where I was the approved electrical contractor/Foreman for the whole company.
I ran a small team of electricians on a day to day basis which was a great experience for me. Having over 10 years’ experience in my trade I feel I am very confident in designing, installing and maintaining any electrical issues.
January 2017 Michael and I decided to start M.A.M Electrical Contracting Services. We felt with our skill set and knowledge of the electrical system we would create an amazing business which we will become very proud of.
I feel together with Michael’s experience we are a very strong and knowledgeable team who can overcome any problem.
MICHAEL GROVER
Managing Director
I grew up in a suburb called Kingscliff just south of the Gold Coast.
I like to think of myself as just an average guy. I’m very much into my sports, I like playing golf, fishing and snowboarding which is another thing myself and Matthew have in common.
I’m engaged and recently become a father to an amazing little girl who is just my world.
I’ve been working as an electrician for 7 years now with experience in most areas of the electrical field. I’m very confident in my skills and I’m very confident in resolving any electrical fault or any electrical issue thrown my way.
Before going into business with Matthew I worked as an electrical foreman building 200+ town houses in Robina. I’ve also been involved in various sport field lighting projects. Running underground and overhead supplies for major construction projects. I worked on the hospital upgrade in Pindara which was a great experience for me and also worked on Chinatown in Southport which was a great opportunity.
January 2017 Matthew and I decided to join forces and start M.A.M Electrical Contracting Services.
We feel with the experience we both have gained over the years we were ready to start a company and create a very well respected, well known and first class service business.
